Performance Management

A multi-national service provider company began some years ago to broach the issue of employee performance during the annual employee interviews and intends in the next step, during the introduction of a performance management system, to make remuneration partially dependent on the achievement of certain performance targets. ?The management staff of the company now see themselves in the position of having to observe, assess and comment on the performance of their employees more closely. In addition to this, challenges concerning employees whose performance deviates substantially from the targets have come to the fore, which soon will be reflected in their salary. In general, performance topics are to be focused on more strongly and by all management staff equally, and are also to be processed sustainably and with legal compliance. The management and HR division have requested that practical workshops with a sound basis in labor legislation expertise be conducted as part of a company-wide initiative. Further requirements of the measures include their reference to all instruments and circumstances of the company and the implementation of hand-in-hand cooperation between the management staff and the HR division.
